Pakistan’s IT exports reach $286m in first month of current fiscal year
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s IT exports hit $286 million in the first month of the current fiscal year.
The IT industry represented 46% of the total exports for the initial month of the financial year.
This rise in IT exports can be attributed to the increase in the special foreign currency account limit for exporters, which was raised from 35% to 50%, and the stabilization of the Pakistani rupee.
IT sector exports are expected to surpass $3.5 billion by the end of this fiscal year.
