Petrol Prices Drop From December 1, 2025
The government had reduced the price of petrol by Rs 4.79 per liter effective from December 1, 2025. It had reduced the price of high speed diesel by Rs 2 pe rliter in line with fluctuation in global prices.

Earlier, Pakistan’s petroleum prices were expected to decline from December 1, 2025 as the latest projections show lower ex-refinery and ex-depot rates across major products.
Petrol price was supposed to drop by Rs 3.70 per litre, high speed diesel (HSD) Rs 4.28 per litre, kerosene oil Rs 0.73 per litre and light diesel oil (LDO) Rs 6.35 per litre.Maintaining Oil Prices to hit oil industry’s cash flow
Ex-depot prices were also projected to ease. Petrol was expected to decline to Rs261.75 per litre from Rs265.45. High-speed diesel was forecast at Rs280.16 compared with Rs284.44. Kerosene was projected at Rs193.61, slightly down from Rs194.34, and light diesel oil is expected to drop to Rs164.45 from Rs170.80. The variations reflect decreases of up to 3.7%.
The oil industry had projected that petrol price may drop to Rs154.92 per litre at the ex-refinery stage on 1 December, down from Rs158.67. High-speed diesel is seen falling to Rs179.56 from Rs185.66, while kerosene is expected at Rs165.06 compared with Rs165.79. Light diesel oil is projected at Rs142.91, lower than Rs149.26. The expected cuts range between 0.4% and 4.3%, with the largest reduction seen in light diesel.
The projected adjustments suggest a softer domestic fuel pricing cycle at the beginning of the month. Oil industry says that final consumer prices will depend on official notifications, although the calculations point to moderate relief if trends hold.
