ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed his government’s and Pakistan’s Armed Forces’ steadfast determination to eradicate terrorism from the nation.

During a Federal Cabinet meeting in Islamabad today, he strongly denounced the terrorist attacks in Balochistan and other regions that led to the martyrdom of innocent Pakistanis, including members of the security forces.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the sacrifices made by the people and the Armed Forces in the fight against terrorism will not be in vain.

He assured that all necessary resources would be allocated to the Armed Forces to combat terrorism.

The Prime Minister mentioned that while the doors of dialogue remain open for those who support Pakistan and its constitution, no discussions will be held with adversaries and terrorists.

He asserted that it is time to eradicate terrorism and emphasized the need to proceed with unwavering determination.

Regarding the terrorist incidents in Balochistan and elsewhere, he pointed out that it is now clear that the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan terrorists, operating from Afghanistan, are responsible for these attacks.

Shehbaz Sharif noted that the government has already brought this issue to the attention of the Afghan government and has taken effective measures against them.

He stated that the terrorist activities in Balochistan are intended to create chaos and disrupt Pakistan’s progress and government-led development initiatives. However, these malicious attempts will not succeed in instilling fear or halting the development process.

The Prime Minister also underscored the importance of unity, asserting that such heinous acts are designed to obstruct the country’s advancement, disrupt ongoing CPEC projects in Balochistan, and undermine the enduring friendship between Pakistan and China.

Shehbaz Sharif announced that he would soon visit Balochistan to thoroughly review the situation and determine immediate actions to address it.

During the meeting, the Cabinet observed a moment of silence for those who lost their lives in the terrorist incidents and also for Rana Afzaal, the brother of Federal Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain, who recently passed away.
