Prime Minister’s Youth Programme signed a landmark Letter of Intent (LOI) with the
FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan Limited (FCEPL). This collaboration aims to bolster economic development by focusing on financial inclusion and capacity enhancement of dairy farmers in the Sindh and Punjab provinces.
The signing ceremony, held at Marriott Hotel Islamabad, marks a significant commitment to promote youth employment and economic empowerment within Pakistan’s dairy sector. Key Areas of Collaboration:
- Value Chain Financing: The initiative will adopt value chain financing for dairy and livestock farmers, enabling them to secure loans for purchasing exotic cows, mechanization, solar solutions, and farm infrastructure.
- Training and Capacity Building: FCEPL will provide comprehensive training to farmers, enhancing their skills and knowledge to ensure sustainable growth and development.
- Engagement and Inclusion: The programme targets dairy farmers, livestock farmers, and milk suppliers in Sindh and Punjab, aiming to integrate them into the broader economic framework through financial support and capacity building.
Programme Highlights:
- Prime Minister’s Youth Business & Agriculture Loan Scheme: This scheme will be a key component of the collaboration, providing financial assistance to dairy farmers registered with FCEPL.
