Govt Reduces Prices of Diesel and Petrol

The government on Tuesday slashed the prices of petroleum products up to Rs 8.42 per liter effective from May 1, 2024, in line with fluctuation in global oil prices.
The government has reduced the price of petrol by Rs 5.45 per liter and high speed diesel by Rs 8.42 per liter.
The finance ministry in a statement said that the prices of Petroleum products have seen a decreasing trend in the international market during the last fortnight.
The Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has worked out the consumer prices, based on the price variations in the international market. After a fresh cut in prices, the price of petrol has come down from Rs 293.94 per liter to Rs 288.49 per liter registering a reduction of Rs 5.45 per liter.
The price of high speed diesel has been slashed to Rs 281.96 per liter against its earlier price of Rs 290.38 per liter witnessing a reduction of Rs 8.42 per liter,
