Govt Reduces Price of Petrol by Rs 8 Per Liter
The government has reduced the price of petrol by Rs 8 per liter effective from June 1, 2023.
The price of high speed diesel (HSD) and Light diesel oil have been slashed by Rs 5 per liter each.
But no change has been made in the price of kerosene oil.

The price of petrol has been slashed to Rs 262 per liter from Rs 270 per liter, registering a reduction of Rs 8 per liter.
Petrol is used in motorbikes and small cars. This is also an alternative to CNG.
High speed diesel (HSD) will be sold now at Rs 253 per liter against Rs 258 per liter, witnessing a cut of Rs 5 per liter.
High speed diesel is widely used in agriculture and transport sectors. The reduction in its price will have a healthy impact on farmers and may lead to a cut in the transportation costs of the goods in the country.
The price of light diesel oil (LDO) has been reduced by Rs 5 per liter from Rs 152.68 to Rs 147.68 per liter.
LDO is used in industry.
The price of kerosene oil has been maintained at the existing level and will be sold at the current price of Rs 147.68 per liter.
Kerosene oil is used in remote areas of Pakistan especially the northern part of the country where the LPG was not available for cooking purposes.
Pakistan army is its key user in the northern part of the country.
