KSE-100 Index Sheds 1704 Points
The KSE-100 Index ended the session on a negative note, closing at 159,578 points, down by 1,704 points. Throughout the day, the benchmark index oscillated between an intraday high of 162,052 and a low of 159,217.
The bearish sentiment was primarily driven by the absence of fresh market triggers following the conclusion of the corporate results season.

Major index heavyweights — FFC, ENGRO, LUCK, MEBL, and SYS — were the principal laggards, collectively shaving off 902 points from the benchmark.
Despite the downturn, market activity remained robust, with trading volumes surging to 859 million shares and total turnover amounting to Rs. 34.8 billion.
