PUBG Mobile Launches Version 4.1 with Esports Features

PUBG Mobile has launched version 4.1, adding esports-inspired features, weapon adjustments, and gameplay improvements to enhance competitive play and overall player experience.

The update also teases upcoming collaborations ahead of the year’s biggest tournament — the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC).

The update introduces themed visuals and gameplay elements across the Erangel and Livik maps, replicating the PMGC venue inside the game.

Players visiting the virtual arena can access a “special photo spot” that unlocks a Champion Pack filled with rare in-game rewards.

Teams who visit the location together can earn the Crown of Glory, a unique in-game item that restores health and energy for nearby allies — a first-of-its-kind feature in PUBG Mobile.

Beyond the esports-themed additions, the patch includes gameplay tweaks such as reduced long-range rifle damage and improved combat sound effects to enhance player awareness.

KRAFTON and Level Infinite have teased major collaborations, including a luxury fashion label, a leading automobile brand, and the much-anticipated comeback of a global K-pop act.

Developers reaffirmed their esports commitment as PUBG Mobile Esports simplified its tournament process, allowing organisers to host competitive events more easily nationwide.

For the first time, PMGC 2025 will merge PUBG and PUBG Mobile championships, featuring 40 teams in Bangkok competing for a $3 million prize.
