Samsung Begins One UI 9 Testing on Galaxy S25 Series

Samsung has initiated internal testing of its upcoming One UI 9 interface on the Galaxy S25 series smartphones, expanding beyond the earlier beta releases for the Galaxy S26 lineup. While the exact build version remains undisclosed, early indications suggest the first public beta for the Galaxy S25 devices could be available in the coming weeks.
This move follows Samsung’s release of two Android 17-based One UI 9 beta updates for the Galaxy S26 series and ongoing tests for the unannounced Galaxy S26 FE model. The addition of the Galaxy S25 series to One UI 9 testing underscores Samsung’s commitment to refining its latest user interface for a broader range of flagship devices.
Samsung has also outlined its software rollout strategy, confirming that its next-generation foldable smartphones will be the first models to ship with One UI 9 pre-installed. This means users of these upcoming devices will receive the new interface out of the box, without needing an update.
The foldable lineup expected to debut with One UI 9 includes the Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Z Fold8, and the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra. Industry sources suggest these devices might be officially unveiled during a launch event in London, rumored to take place on July 22.
As Samsung continues testing and preparing for the full release of One UI 9, Galaxy S25 owners can anticipate the beta program to become available soon, allowing them to experience the latest enhancements and features before the stable rollout.
