Actor Sanam Saeed has questioned the return of brands previously boycotted over their perceived links to Israel, raising concerns about consumer consistency.
In an Instagram story, the Kafeel star asked what people truly stand for, saying the purpose of boycotts was not only symbolic but also meant to prevent funding Israeli actions in Gaza.
She said she was troubled by people condemning Israel while simultaneously endorsing or purchasing brands that had been publicly boycotted.
Sanam Saeed added that several of these brands were already under scrutiny for unethical practices, noting that the goal had been to promote local alternatives instead.

Questioning their reappearance in everyday life, she asked why such brands were being allowed to re-enter public narratives so easily.
In 2023, Spanish fashion retailer Zara faced widespread backlash over a campaign titled The Jacket, which critics said resembled images from Israel’s war in Gaza, prompting calls for a boycott.
During the same period, surveys in Pakistan showed strong public support for boycotts, with a majority of consumers backing the campaign and many stopping the use of western brands.
The boycott movement also led to the rise of local alternatives and sparked debate over platforms such as Coke Studio Pakistan, with differing views on whether Pakistani-linked brands should be included.
