Sehar Khan Slams Humiliating Podcast Culture Targeting Women
Actor Sehar Khan has criticised the growing trend of podcasts built around public shaming and confrontational questioning, calling the format harmful and disrespectful.
In an Instagram story shared early Monday, she said many shows now rely on insulting their guests instead of holding meaningful conversations.
Khan noted she recently watched an episode where a woman was cornered with her own social media videos and interrogated about her choices.
She questioned why hosts feel entitled to judge someone’s lifestyle, stressing that personal decisions are between individuals and God alone.
The actor urged people to avoid appearing on platforms designed to embarrass guests, saying the intent behind such invitations is rarely sincere.

Khan added that deliberately humiliating others for views reflects poorly on hosts, who should “stop hurting people” and rethink their approach.
Her comments gained attention as clips from recent show of Rehan Tariq with TikTok personality Warda Malik circulated widely on social media.
In that episode, the Tiktoker was repeatedly asked whether her dance and poolside videos were “justified,” despite her clear discomfort on camera.
The male panel continued to police her behaviour, asking disparaging questions that reduced the conversation to moral judgement rather than dialogue.
