The opposition condemns the suicide attack in Peshawar

Shehbaz Sharif, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, strongly condemned the suicide bombing at a mosque in Kocha Risaldar, Peshawar, saying those attacking the worshipers cannot be called Muslims or human beings.
Shehbaz, who is also Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President, said that the deteriorating law and order situation in the country was a matter of concern, adding that he has been pointing out for a long time that the issue of terrorism needs serious consideration.
The opposition leader expressed sympathy and condolences to the bereaved families.
Asif Ali Zardari Condemns Suicide Attack in Peshawar
Former President Asif Ali Zardari, while condemning the terrorist attack in Peshawar, said that the attack would not have happened if the nurseries of terrorism had been destroyed.
Terrorists, according to the former president, are enemies of the country and the nation and must be defeated as enemies. While wishing the injured a speedy recovery, Zardari reminded that the National Action Plan could still be fully implemented. He demanded that the Peshawar terrorists, planners, and facilitators be brought to justice.
In a separate statement, the chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, also condemned the terrorism incident in Peshawar, saying the terrorists attacked humanity by targeting innocent worshipers.
While demanding that the government arrest the terrorists and their facilitators involved in the incident, Bilawal also expressed regret over not implementing the National Action Plan.
He expressed deep sorrow to the families of those martyred in the blast and urged the government to provide better treatment facilities for the injured.
Meanwhile, while condemning the “Peshawar bomb blast,” Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said that an investigation was underway and pledged to inform the public later. He expressed his sorrow over the deaths in the incident and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
The suicide attack in Peshawar had raised alarms in Pakistan and people from every walks of life had condemned the barbarian killings of innocent people.
On Friday, a suicide bomber detonated a bomb inside a Shia mosque in Peshawar’s Kocha Risaldar neighborhood, killing at least 30 people and bringing at least 30 bodies to the Lady Reading Hospital, according to hospital officials.
At least 50 people have been hurt, according to reports.
Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif, a spokesman for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa administration, said at least 30 people were killed in the incident, which he described as a suicide bombing. He went on to say that the attack was carried out by two terrorists.
One police officer was martyred, according to CCPO Peshawar Mohammad Ijaz Khan, and Asim Khan, media manager of Lady Reading, stated that 30 dead had been taken to the hospital thus far.
According to the CCPO, two attackers attempted to enter a mosque in the city’s Qissa Khwani Bazaar and fired at the police officer on duty. According to the CCPO, one police officer was martyred, while another was gravely injured, and one of the attackers was slain in the gunfight. According to him, the remaining attacker then raced inside the mosque and detonated a bomb.
