Credit card transaction worth $17.8m failed for telethon flood collection

Pakistani banks have failed to secure Credit card transactions worth 17.8 million dollars meant for telethon flood collection by former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Pakistani former Prime Minister Imran Khan had appealed overseas to raise funds during a telethon conference for flood victims.
Khan had nominated Dr Sania Nishtar as coordinator to collect funds.
Dr Sania Nishtar in a tweet said that they had collected 3.8 million dollars under the flood telethon collection held by Imran Khan.
However, credit card transactions worth 17.8 million dollars had failed which was alarming.
She had appealed State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) to look into the matter urgently.
