TikTok to block vulgar, indecent & immoral content

Islamabad: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has asked TikTok to block the vulgar, indecent, and immoral content for Pakistan’s viewership.

Chairman PTA said this in an online meeting with senior management of TikTok. Chairman further said that society showed concerns regarding the content of the platform.

The Chairman also acknowledged the recent efforts of the TikTok Platform for taking down the indecent content.

The Chairman PTA also asked the platform to put in place stronger content monitoring. It should also apply a modern mechanism to block unlawful material. Either it is not accessible or viewed within Pakistan.
