Twin Cities Set Unified Azaan And Prayer Schedule
Scholars from Islamabad and Rawalpindi agreed on unified azan and prayer timings during a meeting with the Religious Ministry today.
The ministry will release a standard calendar ensuring all mosques in both cities follow identical azan and congregational prayer schedules.
Clerics decided to develop a list of unified Friday sermon themes focusing on community unity social reform and youth guidance.
Officials said the themes aim to enhance awareness promote responsible behaviour and strengthen cooperation among congregations across both cities today.

Joint proposals also addressed mosque administration security arrangements and managerial responsibilities to ensure consistent operational standards in all worship places.
The ministry will monitor implementation of these proposals to maintain uniformity and guarantee smooth coordination across religious institutions in cities.
Officials confirmed the government plans to introduce necessary legislation soon to reinforce the strengthened salat system and ensure nationwide compliance.
