Oil and Gas Exploration Companies have recorded 2 hydrocarbon discoveries and one dry well during month of December 2025.
According to monthly report released by Topline, the sector recorded 2 hydrocarbon discoveries and one dry well. The discoveries were announced by OGDC and MOL in Baragzai and Bilitang, respectively. While the dry well was reported by OGDC in Jakhro.OGDCL Receives Rs7.7B Dues
Hydrocarbon Production: The sector witnessed a flattish MoM trend in crude oil production, while gas production declined 7% MoM. The fall in gas production was due to curtailment and high network pressure from SNGPL, along with Annual Turnaround Activity (ATA) at Uch and KPD-TAY.
Exploratory Efforts: The sector recorded 29% MoM growth in development wells drilling and 36-61% MoM growth in seismic acquisition (2D and 3D). While drilling of exploratory wells went down 25% MoM.
