Wuling Binguo EV Spotted at Karachi Port for Launch
A shipment of compact electric cars has been spotted at Karachi port, raising expectations of a potential new entrant in the electric vehicle lineup in Pakistan.
CCTV footage circulating from a local yard shows multiple small hatchbacks parked alongside an MG ZS EV, suggesting an upcoming launch under the same group.
The model has been identified as the Wuling Binguo EV, a subcompact hatchback developed by Wuling Motors, part of the SAIC-GM-Wuling joint venture.
This joint venture also operates the MG brand, which has already gained a significant presence in the automobile market in Pakistan through its SUV and EV offerings.
The Binguo EV has achieved notable success internationally, securing nearly six percent of China’s battery electric vehicle market share during the current year alone.

The car has also been officially launched in Indonesia, expanding the reach of Chinese automakers in Southeast Asia’s fast-developing electric vehicle sector.
If introduced locally, the Wuling Binguo EV would mark another milestone for Pakistan, adding momentum to the growing adoption of electric vehicles in the country.
The development also signals continued growth of Chinese-made EVs in Pakistan, which have increasingly found space in a market still exploring broader electrification opportunities.
Last month, it was reported that Ghandhara Automobiles Limited was preparing to expand its portfolio with the launch of the JAC T9 plug in hybrid electric vehicle in 2026.
The company had confirmed the arrival of the JAC T9 2WD, which is expected to reach customers during the first half of this month.
Industry reports suggest the JAC T9 PHEV will compete with regional hybrid pickups, including BYD Shark 6, and may emerge as one of the first locally assembled PHEV trucks.
However, details regarding specifications, pricing, and localization remain undisclosed, leaving room for speculation within the automotive community.
