Xiaomi and Leica Unveil 15T Series in Munich

Xiaomi International and Leica Camera AG launched the Xiaomi 15T series in Munich on Wednesday, marking a significant step in global technology partnerships.

The series highlights advanced photography features, refined design, and integration of Google Gemini artificial intelligence, offering tools such as image processing, translation, and screen sharing.

The Xiaomi 15T Pro introduces the Leica 5x Pro telephoto camera with up to 20x Ultra Zoom, while both models include a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

Priced at 799 euros for the Pro and 649 euros for the standard, the smartphones are positioned to attract trendsetters seeking innovation and premium imaging technology.

Xiaomi executives highlighted future goals, including global rollout of electric vehicles by 2027 and an expansion to 10,000 retail stores worldwide by 2030.

Leica leaders noted the partnership has already produced 26 products in 100 markets, stressing that smartphone photography strengthens rather than competes with their traditional business.

Xiaomi also showcased smart appliances, wearables, and home products, underlining its ambition to expand across consumer electronics and build a stronger ecosystem of connected devices.

The company reaffirmed its commitment to chip innovation with a ten-year plan worth 50 billion yuan, supported by more than 2,500 staff in its semiconductor design division.

By aligning with Google and Leica, Xiaomi aims to combine mobile innovation, artificial intelligence, and imaging excellence to boost its presence in global technology markets.
