According to renowned actor the producers deliberately launched the show on YouTube instead of television to escape oversight from the PEMRA.

He further claimed that the creators tried to give Lazawal Ishq a “Pakistani identity” through its local participants while spreading ideas that contradict national moral values.

The first episode of Lazawal Ishq premiered on YouTube on September 29, receiving criticism from viewers who accused it of promoting inappropriate and indecent behavior.

Ayesha Omar defended the show, asserting that Lazawal Ishq is not a dating program and aims to explore emotional connections in a respectful narrative context.

PEMRA clarified that since the show airs online, it lies outside its regulatory jurisdiction, leaving citizens concerned about unchecked digital media content.
