Zardari Calls for Enhanced Women and Minority Representation in Government Jobs
Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has advocated for increased representation of women and minorities in governmental positions to boost their integration into mainstream society. He emphasized that the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) should explore methods and strategies to further enhance the civil service recruitment process to ensure the right candidates are chosen for the appropriate roles.President Zardari Urges Rehabilitation of Kacha Area Criminals, Infrastructure Boost
The President shared these thoughts during a meeting with an FPSC delegation led by senior FPSC member Mr. Akbar Hussain Durrani, at Aiwan-e-Sadr today.
In his discussion with the delegation, the President underscored the significant role of FPSC in recruiting civil servants to improve service delivery and foster good governance in the nation.
He stressed the importance of making the recruitment process more effective and transparent by utilizing modern technology and innovative approaches, particularly computerized assessments, to assist in the selection of qualified and capable civil servants. He also mentioned that candidates achieving high scores in written exams should be assessed fairly.
Mr. Akbar Hussain Durrani updated the President on the FPSC’s role and functions in recruiting government employees and also pointed out some challenges faced by the FPSC.
The President assured the delegation of his support and advice in addressing issues and enhancing the recruitment system.
