Governor SBP inaugurates JazzCash Experience Lounge 

Islamabad – Governor State Bank of Pakistan Jameel Ahmad inaugurated JazzCash’s Experience Lounge in Islamabad today. He was joined by Deputy Governor SBP Saleem Ullah, VEON Group CEO Kaan Terzioglu, JazzCash CEO Murtaza Ali, Jazz CEO and Chairman Mobilink Microfinance Bank Aamir Ibrahim, and Mobilink Microfinance Bank CEO Haaris Mahmood Chaudhary.

Governor State Bank of Pakistan, Jameel Ahmad, welcomed the launch of the JazzCash Experience Lounge, noting that it would “serve as a valuable platform to demonstrate how digital payment systems can broaden financial access and build public trust. The JazzCash Experience Lounge is an interactive demonstration hub that showcases how digital financial services are accelerating Pakistan’s transition to a cashless economy. It presents everyday payment journeys across fuel stations, retail outlets, and neighborhood vendors, enabling visitors to explore JazzCash’s consumer, retailer, and merchant applications, along with QR code–based transactions, JazzCash Tap, and soundbox-enabled devices. The Lounge also features next-generation innovations such as facial recognition payments, palm verification, wearables, and digital tags. 

With 53 million customers, JazzCash is at the forefront of Pakistan’s digital financial services ecosystem. In 2024 alone, the platform processed transactions equivalent to nearly 9% of the country’s GDP. Its extensive network of around 600,000 merchants and 300,000 agents ensures nationwide reach, while over 140,000 daily digital loans empower small businesses and micro-entrepreneurs across the country.
