This Pakistani Cricketer Holds T20I Bowling Rating Record

Former Pakistan fast bowler Umar Gul continues to be recognised for his outstanding T20I career, holding the record for the highest-ever bowling rating points.

The right-arm pacer achieved a peak rating of 865 in the ICC T20I rankings, a feat that has not been surpassed by any bowler since his retirement in 2016.

The dominance of the star pacer with the ball made him one of the most feared pacers in the shortest format, particularly remembered for his deadly yorkers and sharp swing.

The Peshawar-born cricketer played a key role in Pakistan triumph at the 2009 ICC T20 World Cup, where he finished as the leading wicket-taker.

His greatest success came in the shortest format, where he collected 85 wickets in 60 matches with an extraordinary average of just 16.97.

Strike rate of the former pacer in the shortest format stood at 14.1, making him one of the most effective T20 bowlers globally during his prime.
