New Portal Lets Citizens Download Property Details
The Punjab government has introduced a digital service allowing citizens to quickly access updated land records from their homes.
The initiative, launched under the Punjab Urban Land Systems Enhancement project, aims to modernise property documentation across the province.
Officials say the Registration of Deeds portal now lets users download verified land records within seconds using secure online access.
The system removes the need for long queues at government offices and helps citizens avoid intermediaries who previously complicated routine documentation.

Before this upgrade, people were required to visit multiple departments repeatedly, often facing delays due to outdated manual procedures.
Government staff also struggled with slow record searches that sometimes required months to complete, causing frustration for both workers and property owners.
Authorities believe the new digital mechanism will significantly ease public access to information by centralising all essential records on a single platform.
They say the reform marks a major shift toward transparent service delivery, offering citizens a faster and more reliable way to manage their property documentation.
