Netflix faced an hour-long outage for several US users on Wednesday evening, coinciding with the release of “Stranger Things” season five.
Downdetector, which tracks outages using multiple sources, recorded fewer than 800 reports by 8:45pm ET, falling sharply from a peak of 14,290 incidents earlier in the day.
In a response emailed to Reuters, Netflix said some members briefly faced streaming issues on TV devices, adding that service was restored for all accounts within five minutes.
