Google has announced a repair and warranty initiative for its Pixel 9 Pro series, addressing display issues and extending Fold coverage for affected devices.

The Extended Repair Program covers select Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL devices experiencing vertical lines or display flickering problems.

Google said a limited number of devices may show these faults, and affected units can be repaired free of charge for up to three years.

Eligibility requires a visible vertical line running from bottom to top or persistent screen flicker, while cracked or liquid-damaged displays may not qualify.

Owners can check device eligibility and apply for repairs using Google’s official website online, where further guidance and qualification details are provided.

Separately, Pixel 9 Pro Fold owners are covered by an Extended Warranty Program offering three years of protection for functionality problems linked to the display.

Google said affected Fold devices may qualify for free replacement, although the company has not clarified which display issue qualifies.

Devices previously repaired for some screen issues may still qualify depending on circumstances, and Fold owners can verify eligibility online.
