Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Wednesday sold commercial and residential plots of various categories worth Rs17.002 billion.

These plots were sold during its three-day auction. On the final day of the auction, CDA sold Plot No. 514 in Sector G-10/2 at Rs93.33 million and Plot No. 516 Rs92.62 million.

It sold Plot No. 517 for Rs100.44 million. Similarly, it sold Plot No. 526 for Rs93.33 million and Plot No. 531 for Rs94.04 million.

Moreover, Plot No. 547 went for Rs91.90 million, Plot No. 548 for Rs91.90 million, and Plot No. 556, all in Sector G-10/2, was also auctioned for Rs91.90 million.

In addition, Plot No. 9 in the Murree Road, Orchard Scheme was auctioned for Rs712 million. It also sold Plot No. A-9 in the same scheme at Rs732 million. Overall, on the final day of the auction, CDA sold 10 plots of different categories for Rs2.193 billion.

CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa appreciated all investors who participated in the auction. He said the revenue generated would be spent on providing facilities for all citizens, including investors.

He said investors participating in the auction and the CDA were working as partners in the development and progress of the city.

The chairman also added that further improvements would be made in the institution in light of suggestions from the business community and investors.

After thorough scrutiny, the received bids will be presented before the CDA Board. The CDA Board is the competent forum to approve or reject the bids.
