Gold prices in Pakistan rose sharply on Monday as rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association showed significant increases nationwide today.

According to the interbank-based rates, the price of 24-carat gold per tola increased to Rs 489,362, up by Rs 7,500 during the latest trading session.

The rate for 10 grams of 24-carat gold rose to Rs 419,549, while 22-carat gold reached Rs 384,600, reflecting upward movement in domestic bullion markets.

Silver prices also climbed, with 24-carat silver per tola priced at Rs 9,782 and 10 grams set at Rs 8,386 according to figures released nationally.

International market rates showed gold at $4,670 and silver at $93.07, both recording daily gains as reflected in figures shared by the association on Monday.
