Saudi Arabia Mandates 30-Day Job Interview Result Notification
RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has introduced a new regulation requiring companies and employers to inform job applicants about their interview results within 30 days. The Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has warned that failure to comply with this rule will be considered a breach of regulations.
According to the ministry, employers must notify candidates of their interview outcomes—whether accepted or rejected—within a month of the interview date. This directive aims to enhance transparency and ensure timely communication in the hiring process.
Organizations that fail to provide feedback within the stipulated timeframe will be violating applicable human resources regulations and bylaws. The ministry encourages job seekers who face non-compliance to report such establishments through its official application for redressal.
This initiative forms part of a broader effort by the ministry to develop a comprehensive regulatory framework to improve the labor market. It includes new provisions regulating job advertisement practices and interview procedures in the private sector, designed to standardize recruitment processes and improve service quality for job seekers.
By enforcing this 30-day deadline for interview result notifications, Saudi Arabia aims to protect the rights of job applicants and promote fair employment practices throughout the kingdom.
