Apple iPad mini 2026 Geekbench Scores Show Big Speed Boost
Apple’s upcoming iPad mini model, scheduled for release on November 6, has been benchmarked on Geekbench 7 ahead of its launch. The new tablet, featuring the A20 Pro chip, demonstrates significant performance improvements compared to the previous generation.
Notable Performance Gains in iPad mini 2026
The device, identified as iPad19,2 in the benchmark listings, achieved 3,879 points in single-core and 9,870 points in multi-core tests. This version is the Wi-Fi + Cellular variant and comes with 12GB of RAM, a specification Apple has not officially highlighted. The CPU within this model includes five cores—two designed for high-performance tasks, running at 4.93GHz, and three efficiency cores. Interestingly, Apple disables one efficiency core on models with 128GB or 256GB storage, while the 512GB model is equipped with a full six-core A20 Pro chipset.
When compared to the prior iPad mini, which had scores of 2,638 (single-core) and 7,103 (multi-core), the 2026 edition shows a 47% jump in single-core and a 39% boost in multi-core performance.
Comparisons With Other Apple Devices
Against Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro Max, which scored 4,024 in single-core and 11,424 in multi-core benchmarks using the full six-core A20 Pro chip, the iPad mini trails by approximately 4% for single-core and 14% for multi-core tests.
The iPad mini also stacks up well against other Apple tablets. It surpasses the M4-powered iPad Air 13 by 21% in single-core performance but trails by 29% in multi-core tasks. In comparison with the M5-powered iPad Pro 13, it leads by 8% in single-core scores but falls behind by 53% in multi-core benchmarks, highlighting the advantage M-series chips hold in multi-core processing due to additional cores.
Why This Matters for Pakistani Consumers
With a starting price of $699, the new iPad mini offers a compelling option for tech enthusiasts in Pakistan seeking a compact tablet capable of handling intensive tasks efficiently. Its significant speed enhancements over the previous model and robust RAM capacity signal a device suited for a variety of professional and creative applications. As Apple’s influence grows in the Pakistani market, understanding these advancements assists consumers in making informed purchase decisions, especially with international pricing and availability being critical considerations.
Apple has opened pre-orders for the iPad mini 2026, with the first units expected to reach customers shortly after launch. These benchmark results provide an early indication of the device’s capabilities and could influence purchasing trends among Pakistani users eager for powerful portable technology.
