“It is not true that she is my wife’s sister,” Shah clarified. “Had it been true, she would have been part of our family. I believe either Ramsha Salahuddin mistakenly spread this news, or it was used deliberately for PR purposes.”
He further detailed the tribal distinctions, specifying that Esra Ayesha belongs to the Afridi tribe, while his wife is Mohmand, and he himself is from the Syed lineage. Among the Pashtun tribes, these castes are separate and do not imply close kinship.
