While keeping this in view, officials of the health ministry informed the committee that we have sent proposals and letters to the Federal Public Service Commission for the new hiring of medical professionals in PIMS.
Officials apprised that the Health Ministry has only authority to recruit from Grade 1 to BS-16.
However, PIMS ED Prof. Rana Imran Skindar gave a comprehensive briefing regarding non-appointments of Professor Doctor and Associate Professor Doctor.
He said that he has written a letter to the Ministry for getting a nod to fill the vacant positions of teaching cadre BS-18 and above through FPSC.
He added that 349 seats from grades 1 to 15 have been advertised in the newspaper for new recruitment.
“My hands are tied for new recruitments, I have to take permission from the Establishment Division to recruit new staff even in emergency cases”, he added.
However, the committee recommended the concerned authorities to become permanent administrators of PIMS, Federal Poly Clinic Hospital, and NIH.
