Power cement increases Cement price by Rs300 per ton

Power Cement Limited has increased the price of cement by Rs 300 per ton due to revision in duties resulting in a hike in prices of raw materials.

Cement manufacturers-Lucky Cement and Power Cement Limited have increased the price of cement by Rs 15 per bag effective from July 9, 2021.

They have increased prices of cement, primarily due to an increase in input cost following a hike in duties on raw materials.

In a letter to market on revision in Cement Price Discounts due to an Increase in Input Costs, they said they were going to increase the prices of cement due to the higher cost of inputs.

They had referred increase in duties on the import of raw materials they use in cement manufacturing.

This is to inform you that there has been a significant increase in incurred costs recently such as increased duties on raw materials along with a continuous hike in fuel prices in the international market, Lucky Cement said.

Moreover, an increase in coal prices coupled with a continuously escalating dollar rate has made the situation even worse. These escalations have resulted in an increase in the production cost of cement hence prompting the management at Lucky Cement Limited to adjust discounts for all institutional customers by increasing Rs. 300/Ton(Rs.15/Bag)on offered price effective July 9, 2021.

Power Cement Limited said that it was going to revise the selling price of cement due to a Change in Input Costs.

We write to inform you that there is a continued increase in the price of coal in the international market for few months. This increase in the cost of coal increases the cost of production of cement multifold, it further added.

However, valuing your patronage, the company said that they had increased our selling price to your esteemed organization by only Rs.300/Ton. Your previous discount structure is being maintained and the new prices will be effective July 09, 2021.
