Cement Prices See Slight Weekly Decline in Pakistan

Cement prices across Pakistan witnessed a slight decline over the past week, according to fresh data issued by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.

The bureau stated that the average retail price of a 50-kilogram cement sack in northern cities stood at Rs 1,364 during the week ending October 30.

This marks a minor decrease of 0.35 percent compared to the previous week, when the average price in northern cities was recorded at Rs 1,369.

Meanwhile, retail prices in southern cities remained stable at Rs 1,441 per sack, reflecting steady trends despite fluctuations in other regional markets nationwide.

In northern cities, cement prices showed small variations — recorded at Rs 1,345 in Islamabad, Rs 1,346 in Rawalpindi, and Rs 1,400 in Gujranwala.

Similarly, prices stood at Rs 1,350 in Sialkot, Rs 1,406 in Lahore, Rs 1,380 in Faisalabad, Rs 1,360 in Sargodha, and Rs 1,378 in Multan.

Bahawalpur registered Rs 1,407 per sack, Peshawar Rs 1,334, and Bannu the lowest rate among all northern cities at Rs 1,300.

In the southern region, Karachi recorded an average retail price of Rs 1,369 per sack, followed by Rs 1,427 in Hyderabad and Rs 1,500 in Sukkur.

Larkana and Quetta both posted Rs 1,500 per sack, while Khuzdar reported Rs 1,443, showing stable rates throughout the southern zone of Pakistan.
