The Sindh government has extended revised school timings across the province as cold weather conditions continue to affect daily routines.

A government spokesperson said the School Education Department will continue with the adjusted schedule, under which schools start at 9:00 am.

The spokesperson added that the decision will remain in effect until February 4 and will apply to both public and private schools across Sindh.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast more rain and snowfall in several parts of the country starting from today.

According to the Met Office, rain and snowfall are expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir.

Islamabad, Murree and the Galiyat are likely to receive rain with snowfall, while parts of Punjab may experience cloudy weather with intermittent rain.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rain is expected in Haripur, Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera and Kohat during the ongoing weather system.

The PMD warned that heavy snowfall in upper areas, including Naran, Kaghan, Kalam and Chitral, may lead to road blockages and travel disruptions.
