Diesel Price May Decline Rs 11.85 Per Litre

Diesel price in Pakistan is expected to decline by Rs 11.85 per litre in line with fluctuation in global oil prices effective from December 16, 2025.

According to industry estimates, the ex-refinery price of petrol, or PMG, is projected to edge down marginally to Rs156.26 per litre from Rs156.62. This reflects a decline of Rs0.36 per litre, or 0.2%, suggesting limited room for further reductions in motor gasoline due to relatively firm regional gasoline cracks.Petrol Prices Drop From December 1, 2025

High-speed diesel is projected to record the largest relief for consumers. The ex-depot price of HSD is expected to fall to Rs267.80 per litre from Rs279.65, implying a reduction of Rs11.85 per litre, or about 4.2%. Diesel accounts for the bulk of Pakistan’s transport, freight, and agricultural fuel consumption, amplifying its macroeconomic impact.

Kerosene oil prices are also expected to ease significantly. Projections show the ex-depot price declining to Rs181.16 per litre from Rs192.86, marking a reduction of Rs11.70 per litre, or roughly 6.1%. Kerosene remains a key fuel for low-income households, particularly in colder and off-grid regions.

Light diesel oil is projected to follow a similar trend. The ex-depot price of LDO is estimated to drop to Rs153.76 per litre from Rs163.77, reflecting a cut of Rs10.01 per litre, or about 6.1%. LDO is widely used in small generators and select industrial applications.
