Diesel Price to Rise Rs9.60 from Nov 16

Petrol prices are expected to decline slightly while diesel, kerosene, and light diesel oil are projected to record sharp increases in the next fortnightly price revision effective November 16, 2025.

According to projections, the ex-depot price of petrol (PMG) may fall by Rs1.96 per litre to Rs263.49, marking a 0.7% decrease, while high-speed diesel (HSD) is likely to rise by Rs9.60 per litre to Rs288.04, a 3.4% increase.

Similarly, kerosene oil is expected to jump Rs8.82 to Rs193.87, and light diesel oil (LDO) could increase Rs7.15 to Rs171.13 per litre.

The revisions follow fluctuations in international oil prices and freight margins, with PMG premiums at $5.10/bbl and HSD premiums at $3.20/bbl. The exchange rate remained unchanged, while Platts market data for the remaining two days will finalize the government’s decision.
