Education Ministry, CDA sign MoU on IT internships program
ISLAMABAD: A landmark agreement has been forged between the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training and the Capital Development Authority, aimed at bolstering the employability of IT students and fostering a stronger industry-academia connection.Digital Shift in Higher Education
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today in Islamabad, paving the way for a 24-month collaborative partnership.
The agreement, inked by the Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training and the Member of CDA, in the presence of Secretary Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, outlines a Joint IT Internships Program.
Under this initiative, CDA will offer 10 paid internships, each spanning six months, over a two-year period. This opportunity will be extended to students enrolled in the Hi-Impact IT Labs established in 16 Degree Colleges under the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training. Interns will receive a monthly stipend of 40,000 rupees and a certificate from CDA upon completion.
The Secretary of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training underscored the MoU’s significance in preparing students for the job market and its contribution to the growth of Pakistan’s IT sector.
