FIFA Urged to Halt World Cup Ticket Sales
FIFA has been urged to stop selling World Cup tickets after devoted fans faced “extortionate” prices for the event.
The cheapest ticket for the final, set at £3,120 ($4,185), sparked outrage among supporters who had hoped for affordable access.
Croatia’s football federation published ticket prices under its participant member association allocation, which is meant for fans attending multiple games.
The Croatian FA set fixed ticket prices for the July 19 final, leaving fans shocked at the high cost of entry.
Football Supporters Europe described FIFA’s pricing strategy as a “monumental betrayal” of supporters, criticizing the impact on dedicated fans.

According to FSE, attending every game through the PMA allocation would cost €6,900 ($8,111), five times the previous World Cup prices in Qatar.
FSE’s statement highlighted astonishment at the extreme ticket prices and called for immediate action from FIFA to protect fans.
The organisation described the pricing as ignoring supporters’ contribution to the World Cup spectacle and damaging the tournament’s tradition.
FSE urged FIFA to halt PMA ticket sales and enter consultations with all affected parties to review prices and allocations.
The statement stressed the need for a solution that respects the World Cup’s tradition, universality, and cultural significance.
