The first Benazir Income Support Program payment of 2026 has been disbursed to 185,670 women in Sargodha district using the old method instead of Violet Account SIMs.

The payment covered all tehsils, including Bhera, Bhalwal, Sahiwal, Shahpur, Kot Momin, Sillanwali, and Sargodha city, ensuring registered beneficiaries received Rs13,500 under the latest BISP installment.

Children’s scholarships were also paid simultaneously alongside the main BISP payment, allowing families to receive full support through the first tranche of financial assistance in 2026.

Deputy Director BISP Sargodha District Malik Safdar Awan confirmed the breakdown, including 15,778 beneficiaries in Bhera, 20,743 in Bhalwal, 10,630 in Sahiwal, 17,622 in Shahpur, and 24,070 in Kot Momin.

He added that 11,810 women in Sillanwali and 85,017 in Sargodha city also received Rs13,500 each, while the first payment could not use Violet Account SIMs due to time constraints.

Safdar Awan said 213,000 Violet accounts and SIMs had been opened by December, and the second BISP payment of 2026 will be disbursed through the new SIM-based system.

A total of 750 mobile shop agents have been authorised across Sargodha district to facilitate payments, ensuring timely distribution and smooth delivery of BISP funds to registered women beneficiaries.
