Freelancing in Pakistan empowers youth

ISLAMABAD: National Freelancing Training Program (NFTP) is helping to empower the country’s youth especially women for freelancing in Pakistan.
Secretary IT Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui said that the government was taking steps for the development and empowerment of the youth especially women.
He noted that National Freelancers Training Program is playing an important role regarding the development of the youth in the field of information technology. This is also bringing economic prosperity to Pakistan through freelancing.
The training program is also helping reducing unemployment and to empower women to work as equal to men through freelancing thus reducing disparity.
Freelancing has gained importance following the outbreak of the Pandemic. Work at home is now a popular form of working due to pandemics. Pakistani youth is also offering services on freelancing websites.
Online businesses are also on the rise. The business of information technology has also seen a boom and freelancers were getting a lot of online business and get freelancing jobs.
Freelancing in Pakistan has become the source of employment as a lot of youth have also adopted it. The National freelancing training program is providing help to train the youth.
He said in a statement that youth are our valuable asset and they can play a very important role in the economic development of the country.
Secretary IT said that the Ministry of IT & Telecom through its different programs is equipping the youth with digital skills and making them able to generate substantial income in Pakistan through freelancing.
Talking about National Freelancing Training Program (NFTP), he said that this program of the Ministry of IT & Telecom is aimed at empowering the country’s youth especially women and enabling them to work through internet-based freelancing in Pakistan.
He noted that National Freelancing Training Program is playing an important role regarding the development of the youth in the field of information technology as well as their economic prosperity.
This program is also helping reducing unemployment in Pakistan and empowering women to work as equal to men through online work thus reducing disparity, he added.
