All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association raised gold prices sharply on Friday, tracking gains in international markets and interbank-based exchange rates.
Gold prices in Pakistan surged on Friday, with the per tola rate hitting Rs526,462, up Rs2,500 from the previous session, according to data released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Associations.
The association said the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose to Rs451,356 after gaining Rs2,144. The rate for 10 grams of 22-karat gold increased to Rs413,758, reflecting a rise of Rs1,966 during the day.Gold Prices Rise Sharply in Pakistan
International gold prices also moved higher. The global rate stood at $5,037 per ounce, up $25, supporting the domestic uptrend.
Silver prices followed the same direction in the local market. The per tola rate for 24-karat silver climbed to Rs8,574, posting an increase of Rs170. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 24-karat silver rose to Rs7,350 after gaining Rs145.
In international markets, silver was quoted at $80.90 per ounce, up $1.70 on the day.
The association said local bullion rates are based on interbank exchange rates. Gold purity was listed at 999 fine, equivalent to 24 karats.

The increase in both gold and silver prices reflects positive momentum in global precious metal markets, which directly influences domestic bullion valuations in Pakistan.
