Govt focuses on development of digital media

The Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is laying special focus on the development of digital media. It has attained tremendous significance in the dissemination of information.

The Information Minister stated this while talking to the Mexican President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Gabriela Cuevas Barron, in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Senator Shibli Faraz has given his views on the print and the electronic media landscape in Pakistan. Both media has undergone a complete transformation over the past years in terms of outreach. As a result, they are gaining influence in shaping public opinion.

The Information Minister also informed the IPU President about the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting’s working and functioning and various departments.

Both the leaders emphasized the need for cooperation in information and tourism between Pakistan and Mexico.
