Govt Increases POL Prices up to Rs 8.37 per liter

The caretaker government on Thursday announced an increase in POL prices up to Rs 8.37 per liter to take effect from February 16, 2024.

According to a notification issued by the Finance Division, the price of MS (Petrol) has been increased from Rs. 272.89 per liter to Rs. 275.62 per liter, marking a rise of Rs. 2.73 per liter.Govt May Approve Rs8 Per Litre Increase in Diesel Price

Similarly, the price of High-Speed Diesel has witnessed an increase from Rs. 278.96 per liter to Rs. 287.33 per liter, reflecting a hike of Rs. 8.37 per liter.

The caretaker government of Pakistan has declared a surge in the prices of petroleum products effective from February 16, 2024.

The finance division said that this decision comes in line with the recommendations put forth by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).

The finance division said that this adjustment aims to address the current economic dynamics and ensure the stability of the energy sector in the country.
