The holiday has been announced to allow students, teachers and families to observe Shab-e-Miraj, a religious occasion commemorated by Muslims across the country.

Educational activities are scheduled to resume according to the regular timetable after the holiday.

School administrations have been advised to inform parents and students in advance to prevent confusion.

Officials said the decision is in line with the provincial government’s annual holiday calendar and recognised religious observances.
