How to Complete Vehicle Transfer Verification via Pak ID App

Islamabad residents can now complete biometric verification for vehicle transfers directly through the Pak ID mobile app of NADRA.

The app-based system allows both sellers and buyers to verify their identity from home, making the transfer process faster, simpler and more efficient.

Authorities say the new digital system reduces queues and streamlines paperwork, sending applicants to the excise office only for final verification.

With facial and fingerprint checks available on smartphones, the system aims to offer a smoother and more secure transfer experience.

Step-by-Step Process for Sellers and Buyers

For the Seller

  • Download and open the Pak ID mobile app.
  • Register an account and log in.
  • Go to Apply Digital Cards on the home screen.
  • Select ICT Vehicles.
  • View the list of vehicles registered under your name and choose the one you want to transfer.
  • Tap Transfer Now.
  • Select Verify Applicant Facial and choose the front or back camera.
  • Capture your photo and tap Apply.
  • Select Verify Applicant Fingerprint and follow the on-screen biometric procedure.
  • Review the applicant details appearing on the screen.
  • Enter the buyer’s CNIC number.
  • Select the relevant category under Application Processing Executive.
  • Submit the application after entering all required details.
  • Go to the Application section to obtain the Tracking ID and PIN Code.
  • Share both the Tracking ID and PIN Code with the buyer.

For the Buyer

  • Log in to the Pak ID mobile app.
  • Go to Government Services and select Vehicle Transfer.
  • Enter the Tracking ID and PIN Code shared by the seller.
  • Press Get Details to view the vehicle information.
  • Proceed with your photo and biometric verification.
  • Tap Done to complete your part of the process.
  • The application status will automatically update for the seller.
  • If the application is approved, a Pay Now option will appear.
  • Pay the required transfer fee.
  • Download the biometric receipt from ID Vault.
  • Visit the Excise office with the receipt and necessary documents to finalise the transfer.
