India’s unlawful activities in pose a danger to regional stability: DG ISPR
RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Armed Forces are fully supportive of the just struggle of the courageous people of Kashmir for their right to self-determination.
This commitment was conveyed by Director General ISPR, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, in Rawalpindi earlier today, on the occasion of Youm-e-Istehsal.DG ISPR Calls for Strict Laws Against Digital Terrorism
He stated that the cruel lockdown, unlawful Indian measures to alter the demographic makeup of the Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, along with severe human rights abuses, constitute a blatant violation of international laws and a threat to regional peace. He emphasized that resolving the Kashmir conflict in accordance with UN resolutions and the aspirations of Kashmiris is essential for lasting peace and stability in the region.
The ISPR Chief also mentioned that on this day of Youm-e-Istehsal, the Pakistan Armed Forces honor the supreme sacrifices of the Kashmir martyrs.
He added that the Pakistani government, on humanitarian grounds, reaffirms its political and moral support for the Kashmiris’ just struggle against oppression and illegal occupation.
Providing an overview of the socio-economic activities of the armed forces, Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry reported that approximately 23,622 intelligence-based operations were conducted this year, with 2,025 of them occurring in the last 15 days. He noted that 24 terrorists were eliminated during these operations.
He further mentioned that the security forces, alongside other law enforcement agencies, conduct over 100 operations daily.
The Director General ISPR also noted that security forces had eliminated hostile elements in the Mohmand and Dera Ismail Khan districts. He shared that 139 brave officers and personnel of the security forces had laid down their lives during these operations, and the entire nation takes pride in their bravery and pays tribute to their families.
DG ISPR affirmed that the armed forces are engaged in the fight against terrorism and this battle will continue until the last terrorist is eradicated from Pakistan’s territory.
Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry also highlighted that, in addition to counterterrorism efforts, the armed forces are playing a pivotal role in education, healthcare, agriculture, and other sectors by establishing public welfare projects across various regions, particularly in the merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir.
