PM announces Rs 1million free medical coverage under Qaumi Sehat Card

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday announced Rs. 1 million free medical covers to all citizens by end of March 2022 (except Sindh) under Qaumi Sehat Card. It will help Private Medical Hospitals to increase services in Rural areas.
Insurance companies have paid claims of Rs 46 billion for the treatment of 2 million people so far under the Insaf Sehat Card program.
The government of PTI has launched universal health cards (insaf Sehat Cards) which is one of the best programs.
People included 0.9 million from KP, 0.7 million from Punjab, and 0.4 million from Islamabad and Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK).
It provides a new culture of equal opportunities for treatment to all those who are poor.

State Minister for Information & Broadcasting Farrukh Habib addressed the launching ceremony of Insaf Sehat Cards for the Faisalabad division at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF).
As many as 900 hospitals in Pakistan would provide medical facilities to 40 million families.
As many as 180 million individuals would have free medical cover under the Insaf Sehat Card scheme.
PTI government had earmarked Rs 260 billion for the Ehsaas program which was the second major project.
The government believed that Health cards would completely change the health structure of Pakistan.
It will provide equal treatment opportunities to the individuals in this country.
People living in Punjab province are also going to get a major chunk of funding under the Insaf Sehat Card scheme.
The Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar had earmarked funds amounting to Rs 400 billion to provide health insurance to the people in the province.
What is Sehat Sahulat Program
The government has designed Sehat Sahulat Program to provide fair and equal opportunities for treatment to the identified under-privileged citizens across the country.
This is free medical treatment for the poor who can not afford financial expenses. The objective of this program is to provide quality medical health care services through a micro health insurance scheme.
The government has launched this program which provides insaf sehat card to the poor to receive quality health services in different hospitals. To achieve this objective, the government has allocated billions of rupees funds.
Treatment Packages
Under treatment packages, you can receive secondary medical health care that covers initial coverage of Rs 60,000 per family annually.
You can further avail of additional coverage of Rs 60,000 per family.
Under the priority treatment package, people can receive initial coverage of Rs 300,000 per family annually.
They can also avail of additional coverage of Rs 300,000 per family.
Sehat Card Check Online Under Sehat sahulat program
You can check by sending SMS your National Identity Card Number to 8500. The digital portal will ask you to Enter the valid 13 digit Ciziten Number. Then you will enter a related code to check eligibility.
