Karachi Port Trust (KPT) has further intensified its anti-encroachment operations across port-controlled areas in strict compliance with the Prime Minister’s Task Force agenda and court orders, marking a significant step towards restoring order and safeguarding state-owned land.
In the latest operation carried out in the Sasti Basti area, more than 12 acres of valuable government land were successfully recovered. The joint anti-encroachment drive was conducted with the participation of KPT, civil administration, Pakistan Rangers Sindh, Sindh Police, and the Port Security Force (PSF).

During the operation, 50 stone foundations and 25 boundary walls were demolished to remove illegal structures. Officials confirmed that the action was completed peacefully and in a fully secured environment.
According to KPT officials, over 50 personnel from various law enforcement and administrative departments took part in the operation, while heavy machinery was deployed to ensure the effective and timely removal of encroachments.
Authorities further disclosed that since the launch of the anti-encroachment campaign, a total of 192 acres of encroached land has been recovered from different KPT-administered areas of Karachi.
KPT management has reiterated its commitment to a zero-tolerance policy against encroachments, stating that operations will be further accelerated to ensure discipline, transparency, and the protection of public property.
Sources privy to the development informed that the Prime Minister has expressed satisfaction over the progress of the anti-encroachment drive at Karachi Port Trust.
The Premier has also applauded the efforts of KPT General Manager (Administration) Brigadier Muhammad Younis, praising his leadership and administrative measures for delivering tangible results against illegal encroachments.
The sources added that the Prime Minister termed the operation a positive step towards strengthening governance and protecting state assets, aligning with broader institutional reform and public land protection objectives.
