Rubin Hermann, 29, brings valuable experience and versatility to the Qalandars’ middle order. He has represented South Africa in seven Twenty20 Internationals, accumulating 153 runs at a strike rate of 131.89, including one half-century.

His domestic and franchise T20 career is also impressive, with 1,497 runs in 65 matches at a strike rate of 127.83, featuring eight half-centuries and one century.

Hermann has also played two seasons for the Paarl Royals in South Africa’s premier T20 league, the SA20, where he scored 559 runs in 21 matches at a strike rate of 119.70. His ability to anchor innings in challenging situations has been noted as a key asset.

For Lahore Qalandars, this signing strengthens their wicketkeeping options, complementing Haseebullah Khan, who was previously the only specialist wicketkeeper in the squad.

The addition of Hermann is expected to add depth and flexibility to the team’s batting lineup as they prepare for what is being described as a defining PSL season.

The Qalandars have also retained key players such as Shaheen Afridi, Abdullah Shafique, and Sikandar Raza, while securing other notable signings like Mustafizur Rahman and Haris Rauf to maintain a competitive squad.

With the PSL 2026 season approaching, teams are actively reshaping their rosters, and the inclusion of Rubin Hermann signals Lahore Qalandars’ intent to strengthen their campaign and challenge for the title.
