The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has finalised special arrangements to provide uninterrupted electricity to residents during Sehri and Iftari hours throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
Speaking at the Lahore Press Club, LESCO Chief Engineer Ramzan Butt confirmed that all necessary measures have been completed to ensure a consistent power supply for consumers during critical fasting hours.
He assured citizens that no load-shedding would take place during Sehri and Iftari, emphasising that the company’s priority is to support households observing the fast across Lahore and surrounding areas.
Butt highlighted that LESCO had previously maintained uninterrupted electricity during Basant, and similar measures are now in place for Ramadan to facilitate residents with reliable energy during peak household demand.

The chief explained that summer load-shedding often occurs due to electricity theft and increased line losses, but improved management and stricter enforcement this year are expected to reduce outages significantly.
Authorities said the initiative aims to provide relief to residents during Ramadan, particularly during hours of highest consumption, ensuring households can perform daily rituals and prepare meals without power interruptions.
LESCO’s preparations include monitoring systems, manpower allocation, and preventive maintenance to address technical issues promptly, maintaining operational efficiency, and preventing disruptions during the holy month of fasting.
Residents are advised to report any emergencies or technical faults promptly to LESCO, helping the company maintain smooth operations and ensure uninterrupted electricity supply during the entire Ramadan period.
